New NPC - [ Request ]

Ok, So can you give me an example on an edited NPC that is used with Pubedit?

This is my ninja monkey.

All other values are left blank.

May I ask why you wanted an example?

Ok, i made the new NPC, but i can only hit 1 damage on it. and it gives no EXP.

make sure to edit the eof npc and change its ID to the last ID available.

My eof may be formatted wrong, Can you show me what the last NPC eof should look like.

and every value after the gfx value should be - 0

Well my eof is correct.. I done everything like you said. But no other player can attack the new NPC, only i can. And its NPC '1'.
I dont hit 1 damage on it, and it gives no EXP.
It only maxes 7's on me when it's set for 200 damage.
The HP is fine.
It drops.

What could be the problem..?

try changing NPC - 2

And as for damage, MnD and MxD do not affect the npc damage, I believe changing the Acc and Eva alters the npc's damage.

Try this: 100 Acc 200 Eva

Nope, still only hit 1 damage on it. And no exp. Something is wrong.

I'm informed by syran that new npc's on eoserv are not supported.
If you want to add the npc i quoted above then you'll just have to replace an older npc :/

Im using Seose. So it should work right?

The reason for this is, because they are not hardcoded into the client, it will not recognize them as being a legitimate monster, npc, or shop.

Same with new graphics, the client will not implement them because they have not been coded in, therefore, a patch is needed to fix it. Its the same with npc files, except they automatically update on login.

But, according to Sir, its fine on Seose...so I guess its not the client, but something in the server source.

you will have to post the exact vulues you have editted and i will correct them.

So your saying custom monsters arent supported? It should work tho. Cause other people have custom monsters.. I've got a Seose server, come check it out for a sec i'll show you.

custom monsters work, you just cant add new ones, u need to modify existing monsters values in order to have them.
if ur using seose you can make new npc's but you have to manually spawn them.

Editing the original NPC's is a really bad idea.. Like the name and values.
Yes i wanna make a new monster that has the GFX as a wraith. I can spawn as 258.
the EOF is 259.
